Setting & Running Tests
Last updated on 14 Nov, 2024
We recommend that tests be completable within 5 to 20 minutes. This allows testers to stay engaged and interact with your product while providing high-quality feedback. However, we understand that some projects may require longer studies to cover more details or more complex workflows. If you need to run a test lasting between 20 - 40 minutes, here’s what you need to know.
Please note that longer tests with Userbrain's tester pool cost 2 sessions (or credits) per tester. This is because we provide our testers with double compensation in order to incentivize their extra time and effort.
Contact Us: Reach out to support@userbrain.com to let us know you’re interested in running a longer test. We’ll help you get set it up.
Test Instructions: You’ll be asked to include a message in the first task, informing testers that this test will take longer and noting the bonus compensation if completed.
Launch: Once everything is in place, the test will be launched.
Final Report: Once your test has been completed, you will receive an email from our Support team, confirming which testers received their extra compensation.
If you’re running a test with your own users, there is no extra charge for longer studies. However, for optimal results, we recommend keeping it under 40 minutes.
Avoid Tests Over 40 Minutes: Tests longer than 40 minutes may skew your test results. Tests this long can lead to participant fatigue, reducing feedback quality.
Compensation Verification: After the test, Userbrain's Support team will verify the completion time of each tester to ensure those who surpass the requested threshold receive bonus compensation.
