How buying additional testers works
There’s no separate shop for testers, and nothing to top up in advance. Additional testers are offered at the moment you need them when launching a test.
When you order testers and your balance doesn’t cover the whole order, Userbrain shows you how many you’re short and what your options are. On Flex and Legacy Plans, one of those options is buying exactly the number of testers that order needs. Pay, and the order goes through.
What happens after you pay
The testers you bought are added to your account as credits, one credit per tester. Credits behavior:
They don’t expire at cancellation. If your subscription ends, your credits stay and can still be used to order testers.
They’re always spent last, after your plan testers.
If your payment covered only the additional testers, Userbrain places your order for you automatically. If the payment also included starting or upgrading a plan, you’ll be returned to the order to place it yourself.
If you’re on Starter or Plus
You can’t buy individual testers on these plans, but you’re not stuck. When an order needs more than your plan covers, Userbrain shows you the plans that would cover it: Plus if you’re on Starter, or any Flex plan.
If a Flex allowance still isn’t quite enough for a big order, Userbrain combines it with exactly the extra testers you need, so you can cover the whole thing in one go.
The lowest-priced option is always selected for you by default, though you’re free to pick a different one if you’re thinking about the year ahead rather than just this order.
During your free trial
You can’t buy additional testers or use pay-as-you-go while your free trial is running. Start a plan first, and you can order from there.
How you’ll be billed
Additional testers are a one-time purchase, not a subscription change. Buying them doesn’t start a new billing cycle or move your renewal date.
If you buy a plan and additional testers in the same go, they’re charged separately and you’ll get one invoice for each charge. The confirmation screen shows both amounts and their VAT before you pay.
